Manningham House is perfectly situated in the heart of the peaceful village of Ringstead on the stunning North Norfolk coast. DISTANCE TO THE NEAREST BEACH: 2 miles to Holme Beach
Ringstead Stores, only 1 minute walk away, is particularly well stocked with local produce, much of it organic, and The Gin Trap Inn is conveniently situated almost opposite Manningham House.
For more local produce, you are spoilt for choice.
- Drove Acre Farm Shop is only a five minute drive away and has a PYO farm, a farm shop, a cafe/restaurant in a yurt and some shops (clothes and presents.
- Norfolk Lavender (www.norfolk-lavender.co.uk) , again only five minutes away, has a superb farm shop which stocks meats and local veg along with a deli counter.
- Slightly further away, near Holt, is Wiveton Hall (www.wivetonhall.co.uk) also with a PYO and produce from their own farm. The cafe there is a delight and serves tapas on Friday and Saturday nights in the summer.
- The Fish Shed at Brancaster Staithe (www.fishshed.co.uk) is our favourite for local fish, especially crab, oysters and mussels. Don't forget to try the samphire in summer!
- Burnham Market has many independent shops for food, presents and clothes. It also has a wine shop and many art galleries. For the non-shoppers, the Hoste Arms is well situated in the centre of the village with outside seating!
- A Farmers' Market is held at Sandringham on every 4th Sunday of the month
- Larger supermarkets can be found in Hunstanton.
